Minty green

Lange ist es her, aber ich lebe noch. Unsere Moebel sind da, unser Auto ist da - fehlt eigentlich nur der Sommer. Den vermisse ich hier in der Oberpfalz naemlich. Aber da wir letzte Woche in Oldenburg waren, konnte ich dort Sonne und Sommerwetter tanken - auch wenn ich bei 25C immer noch friere, das sind wohl die texanischen Nachwirkungen. Immer, wenn ich in Oldenburg bin, muss ich natuerlich auch in die Waterfront in Bremen und Primark einen Besuch abstatten. Ganz besonders, weil die dort eine Home-Abeteilung haben und ich mich dort guenstig mit Handtuechern und Kleinkram eindecken kann, den ich eigentlich nicht brauche, aber schon gerne besitzen will. Somit wird unsere Wohnung langsam aber sicher vollstaendig und das, obwohl die Umzugsleute aus Killeen einige unserer Moebel, bzw. Accessoires und Nutzkram, gestohlen haben.

Da der Sommer wohl noch ein bisschen auf sich warten laesst und/oder ich sowieso friere, habe ich mich also auch mit ein paar luftigen Pullovern eingedeckt - sowas hatte ich in Texas ja nie. Ein paar Klamotten von Mama wechselten auch noch in meinen Besitz ueber und nun habe ich ein kleines Spektrum an neuer Kleidung. Fehlt also nur noch der passende Kleiderschrank.

Und die Hunde. Die kommen naemlich endlich naechstes Wochenende hier an, da der Flughafen nach dem Tornado in Oklahoma endlich wieder offen ist.

Long time no see but I am still alive. Our furniture arrived, our car arrived - the only thing missing is summer. That's what I am missing here in the Upper Palatinate. However, we spent the past week in Oldenburg and I could get some sun and some warm weather - even though I am still freezing at 25 Celsius, that's probably still what's left in my system from Texas. Every time I am in Oldenburg, I have to visit the Waterfront in Bremen and get some things at Primark, especially now that they have a home department so that I can buy towels and other small things (that I don't really need but definitely want). Our apartment will slowly be complete even though the movers from Killeen stole a few things from us.

Since I have to wait for summer, I bought a few light sweaters - I never really had them in Texas. My mum gave me a few of her old clothes too and now, I have a whole bunch of new things. Time to find a good closet.

And to get my doggies. They will finally arrive here next Friday (or they leave the US on Friday and will most likely arrive on Saturday morning) because the airport in Oklahoma City is open again after that devastating tornado.
