Ich habe so viele Fotos in meinen Ordnern, die einzeln nicht fuer einen Blogpost zu gebrauchen sind, aber sie sind auch zu schade, um sie einfach zu ignorieren oder gar irgendwann zu loeschen. Deswegen moechte ich hier von Zeit zu Zeit einige "einfach so"-Fotos zeigen, fast wie ein Instagram-Rueckblick, nur eben ohne Instagramfotos.

Aufgenommen wurden die Fotos entweder mit meiner Digitalkamera oder mit meinem iPhone.

I have so many photos in my folders that I can't use for a blogpost nor do I want to ignore them or even delete them. That's why I want to show you some "just because"-photos from time to time. It's sort of like an "my Instagram week" post, just without the Instagram pictures.

Arizona Cardinals

Huch, zwei Outfitposts hintereinander? Das ist ja ganz was Neues. Da ich momentan viel unterwegs bin, ist die Gelegenheit natuerlich guenstig fuer Outfitsfotos. Heute spielte das Wetter leider nicht wirklich mit und es war grau und sehr windig - man kann eben nicht alles haben.

Das T-Shirt ist eines meiner Lieblingsstuecke. Es ist sehr bequem und leger. Und eigentlich auch gar nicht mein T-Shirt. Was im Grunde kein Problem ist, mein Mann und ich teilen uns seine Oberteile, nur ist dieses Shirt eben auch sein Lieblingsteil und somit wird nach dem Motto 'Wer zuerst kommt, gewinnt' drum gekaempft. Ich habe es ihm letztes Jahr zu unserem Hochzeitstag geschenkt, da er gebuertig aus Arizona kommt und auch die Cardinals ganz toll findet. Von meinen Beobachtungen her sind die Jungs aber eher schlecht im Football. Muss wohl so ein Heimatliebe-Phaenomen sein.

Heute Abend geht es fuer uns nach San Antonio, denn morgen frueh habe ich mein Immigrationsinterview und da dachten wir uns, dass es besser ist ueber Nacht zu bleiben statt um 5 Uhr morgens aufzustehen, um die Rush Hour in Austin zu umgehen und somit puenktlich im Immigrationsbuero zu erscheinen. Wir sind noch am Ueberlegen, ob wir die Jungs mitnehmen oder ihnen eine Nacht im Hundehotel buchen mit einer gruendlichen Waesche und einmal richtig lange buersten (Hunde Spa). Ich kann dann gleichzeitig ueben, wie es ist ohne Hunde unterwegs zu sein.

Tragt ihr auch oefters Sachen von eurem Mann/Freund oder sogar Papa (das habe ich frueher auch gern gemacht, allerdings waren seine Shirts mir immer SEHR zu gross)?

Oh, two outfits in a row? That's something completely new. Since I am on the go a lot lately, it is the perfect opportunity for outfit photos. However, the weather didn't like me today and it was gray and windy - you can't have everything you want.

This shirt is one of my favourite clothing pieces. It's casual and very comfortable. And it's also not mine. Which isn't a big problem, my husband and I share his shirts but this shirt is also his favourite shirt and that way, we have to fight over it like 'Who gets it first, wins'. I gave it to him last year for our anniversary because he's originally from Arizona and likes the Cardinals. From what I have observed, they pretty much suck but I guess it's one of those "home pride phenomena".

Tonight, we are leaving for San Antonio because I will have my immigration interview on Friday morning and we thought it's better to stay the night instead of getting up at 5am only to beat Austin traffic and get to the office on time. We are still thinking whether we take the boys with us or book them a place in the doggy hotel with a nice grooming experience (doggie spa!). At the same time, I can practice how it will be to travel without dogs.

Do you also wear your boyfriend's/husband's or even dad's (I did that in the past but his shirts were always WAY too big) clothes?

Black Denim

Wir haben endlich ein Abflugdatum! Am 8. April fliegen wir in Dallas los und landen frueh morgens auf der Rammstein Air Force Base. Leider waren alle Plaetze fuer die Tiere schon besetzt (es sind nur 5 per Flugzeug), sodass wir sie mit einer Cargofirma nachschicken lassen muessen (oh Gott, das klingt so schrecklich). Wenn alles so klappt, wie geplant, sind die Jungs am 12. April dann bei uns. Viele sagen, dass es besser so ist, denn es kann sein, dass sie sonst ueber 20 Stunden in ihren Transportboxen bleiben muessten und das will ich ihnen natuerlich nicht antun. Somit muss ich den Trennungsschmerz runterschlucken und mich auf Erwachsenen-Modus umstellen, auch wenn ich innerlich panike und mir die Seele aus dem Leib weine. Ich haenge eben doch sehr an den Jungs. Mit viel Glueck koennen wir jedenfalls Coco mit in die Kabine nehmen und das troestet mch dann schon ein ganz klein bisschen.

Letzten Sonntag ist fuer mich ein kleines Wunder geschehen: Ich habe tatsaechlich schwarze Jeans gefunden, die nicht zu kurz und auch im Sale waren. Und das ohne zu H&M nach Austin fahren zu muessen. Ich bin auf gut Glueck zu WetSeal gegangen - normalerweise mag ich den Laden eher weniger. Mit viel Glueck findet man dort etwas Schoenes, aber der Grossteil der Klamotten ist ein bisschen zu sehr ghettofabulous fuer meinen Geschmack. Aber Hosen, Schuhe und Accessoires sind absolut in Ordnung, auch preislich.

Ich bin zwar schon seit langerem bei ask.fm unterwegs, mir ist aber aufgefallen, dass ich es nie hier auf dem Blog bekannt gegeben habe. Also: Statt auf Formspring koennt ihr mir nun auf ask.fm (anonym) Fragen stellen.

We finally have a date to leave here: We leave on the 8th of April and land in the early morning of the 9th on Rammstein Air Force base. However, all places for pets were already booked (there are only 5 per plane), so that we have to send our lovely furries with a cargo company (oh god, that sounds so horrible). If everything works how we planned it, they will join us on April 12th. A lot of people told me it's better that way because there is a possibility that they would be stuck in their transport boxes for over 20 hours and I really don't want them to go through that. Now I have to calm down, stop worrying and be an adult even though I'll be crying my heart out on the inside. I'm just extremely attached to the boys. But with lots of luck we can have Coco with us in the cabin as a carry on and that would make it a wee bit better for me.

Last Sunday, a little miracle happened to me: I actually found black pants that aren't too short and that were on sale. And all that without even having to drive to H&M in Austin. I just tested my luck and went to WetSeal - a store that's normally not one of my favourite ones. If you're lucky, you can find something pretty but most of the clothes are a bit too ghettofabulous for my liking. On the other hand, pants, shoes and accessories are absolutely okay, even price wise.

Outfit: Lazy Day

Heute waere eigentlich der Tag gewesen, an dem wir zu Ikea fahren wollten. Wir sind so oft bei Ikea, wir wohnen praktisch dort. Aber die Army hatte andere Plaene, denn in Waco warteten Schulkinder, die mit den Soldaten spielen wollten/mussten. Ich schaetze mal, dass es wegen dem baldigen Veteran's Day ist. Also musste ich umplanen. Ich bin kurzfristig zu Bath and Body Works gefahren, um meinen Coupon einzuloesen und werde spaeter noch einmal losfahren, um ein bisschen nach Wohnungsdekorationen zu suchen.

Groesstenteils werde ich mir aber einen gemuetlichen Tag mit den Hunden machen und das spiegelt sich in meinem einfachen Outfit wider. Ich dachte mir, da in meinem Blogtitel schon "paws" vorkommen, dass ich euch wenigstens mal meine zwei Pawsies vorstelle und mit einbeziehe. Wird ja auch langsam Zeit.

Zum Einen haben wir McPlushy (sein Deckname fuer die Oeffentlichkeit ist Jake), der naechsten Dienstag 4 Jahre alt wird und seit 2 Jahren bei uns ist. Wir haben ihn von einem kill shelter und haetten wir ihn nicht genommen, waere er am naechsten Tag eingeschlaefert worden. Was er fuer ein Rassengemisch er ist wissen wir nicht genau, der Tierarzt meinte, er waere eine Mischung aus deutschem Schaeferhund, Wolfhybrid und Husky. Da ich im Internet immer einmal wieder rumgucke, tauchen dauernd neue Rassen auf, die in seiner Mischung mit drin sein koennen. Er ist einfach mein kleines Woelfchen.

Zum Anderen haben wir Yuri, der etwa 6 Jahre alt ist. Wir haben ihn Ende Juni am Highway angebunden gefunden und konnten ihn einfach nicht dort lassen. Seitdem ist er ein festes Familienmitglied bei uns. Welche Rasse er genau ist, wissen wir auch bei ihm nicht. Ich schaetze mal, er ist ein Finnenspitz/Eurasier ist, auch wenn der Tierarzt meinte, bei ihm waere Chow Chow mit drin, aber das sehe ich irgendwie ueberhaupt nicht. Bis auf die Farbe vielleicht.

Soviel zu dem "paws"-Teil meines Blognamens. Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch einen kleinen Einblick in meine Tierwelt geben.

Today would have been the day where we would have gone to Ikea. We are so much at Ikea that we basically live there already. But the US Army had other plans, there were kids waiting in Waco to play with the soldiers. I assume it is because of the upcoming Veteran's Day. As usual, I had to come up with new plans to entertain myself. Spontaneously, I went to Bath and Body Works to redeem my coupon and later on, I will leave again to look for a few more house decorations.

Mainly, today will be a lazy day with my dogs and because of that I chose a very simple outfit. I also thought that I am going to introduce my two Pawsies to you, after all I have "paws" in my blog title and I think it's about time to do so.

First, we have McPlushy (his alias for outside the house is Jake) who will be 4 years old next Tuesday and who is with us since 2 years. We got him from a kill shelter and if we didn't get him that day, they would have put him down the next day. We are not quite sure what kind of breeds are in this mutt, the vet said he'd be a mix of German Shepherd, wolf hybrid and Husky. I always look up breeds on the internet and new breeds pop up all the time that could be part of McPlushy's mix. He's simply my little wolfie.

Then we have Yuri, who is approximately 6 years old. We found him at the end of June abandoned at the highway and we couldn't leave him there. Since that day, he is a member of our family. Again, we don't really know for sure what breed he is, I assume he might be a Finnish Spitz/Eurasier. The vet told us there's a Chow in him but I can't see that at all. Maybe his coat colour but that's about it.

So much for the "paws" part of my blog name. I hope you got a little insight in my pet world.
